Leaks show the new Samsung Galaxy Watch 2 & 3 to launch on 5th August 2020Samsung Galaxy Watch 2 was expected the company’s next smartwatch, but it seems like it might actually be called the Galaxy Watch 3. The device is supposedly much better than the Galaxy Watch Active 2. Most thought the device was called the Galaxy Watch 2, but after the Galaxy S20 range launch leaks started to suggest the new smartwatch was actually the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3. The new smartwatch is overdue, especially when you consider that Samsung launched the Galaxy Watch Active 2 only 6 months after the original Watch Active arrived in 2019. Most recent leaks suggest the Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 could launch in the last quarter of July 2020, but reports are all over the place and there’s no definitive official stance.

The latest rumors pointed out an appearance on 5th August at an unpacked show that Samsung is holding online. The release of the Galaxy Watch Active 2 also makes us slightly question whether there will be a Samsung Galaxy Watch 2 at all, especially as the Active sequel can be bought with a leather strap. It has been considered a classic option than the original and a real alternative to the Galaxy Watch. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 2 or Galaxy Watch Active 3 could land soon though. Both models for Samsung wearable have previously been linked to one or other of these ranges. The two models have now appeared on official certification documents in China.

Rumors pointed out the expected price by comparing the original Galaxy Watch started at $329 for the smaller 42mm version. The Samsung Galaxy Watch 3 has leaked pretty much in full, with multiple hands-on videos now showing the wearable. These videos show that it looks a lot like the original Galaxy Watch, complete with a rotating bezel, but the bezel is thinner this time. The new watch has a leather strap in the videos and in one it comes in Mystic Bronze. The specs listed in one of the videos include both 41mm and 45mm sizes with 1.2-inch and 1.4-inch screens respectively, 5ATM water resistance, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of storage, a stainless steel frame, GPS, an ECG, a blood pressure monitor, and a heart rate monitor. It is noteworthy that these match up with an FCC listing for an upcoming Galaxy Watch.
