The Samsung 2021 Unpacked Event isn’t too far and people will reportedly find upgrades in the foldable phones of the company. The Samsung Galaxy S21 was announced in January 2021 with its solid all-around performance and better price. The Galaxy S21 Ultra meanwhile blew us away with its incredible camera setup and its ability to take superb zoomed-in shots. However, the rumored Galaxy S22 may not make its presence until January 2022. But it didn’t stop rumors about the new flagship range of Samsung. The latest news came on Twitter from leakers Yogesh and Ice Universe. Ice Universe predicted that Samsung could introduce a 50MP RGBW and 200MP camera sensor. Yogesh also said that the 50MP RGBW sensor could be featured on the Galaxy S22 series.

Samsung earlier launched S-series smartphones in March, but it changed the trend in 2021 and launched the S21 range in January. The S22 is expected to launch in January 2022, supposedly at the CES tech show in Las Vegas. The S21 offered handsets at slightly more affordable prices and swapped glass back panels for toughened plastic. The S20 smartphone came in at $1,000 in the US and the base S21 undercut that at $800. Samsung will offer multiple variations of the S22 line with varying specs at a variety of prices. People will see a basic S22, along with an upgraded S22 Plus and an S22 Ultra model. A leaker FrontTron also predicted on Twitter that Samsung will upgrade the S22 lineup with 65W charging support.

Samsung will use both Qualcomm Snapdragon chips and its own Exynos processors in its S series smartphones depending on the region. The next-generation Snapdragon 895 and the Exynos 2200 chips are expected to launch in December. The S22 range will run Android 12 including additions like Samsung Health, Samsung Pay, and Bixby virtual assistant software. The base S21 was the smallest at 6.2 inches and the S21 Plus pushed things further to 6.7 inches, while the S21 Ultra ballooned ever further out to 6.8 inches. Some early rumors suggested that Samsung will make the S22 and S22 Plus slightly smaller. Samsung could introduce a 50MP RGBW, 200MP camera sensor. There is also a GPU of Mali-G78 MP14, a 4000 mAh battery, and a Dynamic AMOLED 2X Capacitive Touchscreen display with a screen size of 6.5 Inches.
