FEMA said that Mobile phone across the United States will be whizzing in unanimity on Wednesday with a special test message from the Trump administration. The (FEMA) Federal Emergency Management Agency will arrange a test of the national system. It would allow “presidential alerts” to hit the majority of mobile phones.

 The main objective of this test is to warn residents of national emergencies, such as dangerous weather, storm, or even tsunami. The test is scheduled to happen at 2:18 p.m. EDT. There are a large number of people against this test. They don’t need to receive any form of alert from the U.S President.

The FEMA confirmed that emergency alerts and Amber alerts can be turned off. But these presidential alerts can’t be turned off.

The Agency explained about the test in a FAQ, “The Communications Act of 1934 established the authority for the President to use certain private sector communications systems for priority communications, such as sending alert and warning messages to the public, during national emergencies.

The alert will work similarly as an emergency alert or Amber alert, with a notification reaching your mobile phone. Users will be able to opt out of the emergency and Amber alerts. The iPhone users can turn it off from Settings, then Notifications. Scroll to the bottom and turn off the alerts.
