Watch Motorola Edge Series launch event live on 22nd April 2020Motorola has now decided to launch its new flagship phone on 22nd April 2020. A new leak suggests the new device to be called the ‘Motorola Edge’. The company will host a launch event for the new handset, but it will only be available online as a requirement of the Covid-19 epidemic. Most of us have already experienced some continuous leaks about the Motorola Edge. The new device is expected to replace the Moto Z4 series. Some leaks also suggested another newcomer and named it Motorola Edge Plus. The launch event of the Moto Edge series will take place on 22nd April at 12pm EST. Motorola will host its live stream on YouTube, but the company has yet to share the original link.

The company has confirmed the launch event will also be hosted on its official blog. Most of us were expecting a new Moto Z5 smartphone during the current year, but rumors have predicted an entirely different device, the Motorola Edge Plus. It is noteworthy that Motorola is again entering the flagship phone race, though the company has stayed out of since the Moto Z3 was released in 2018. But Z3 handset was still bound by its Moto Mod compatibility, in size and cameras. The Edge Plus might be considered a powerful phone with a huge 108MP main camera, waterfall-style curved display, and 5G connectivity.

The Edge Plus device could look different and pack different perks. Point to be noted that Moto Z3 was presented in August 2017 and the Moto Z4 hit markets in May 2019. Now, Motorola is hosting an event on 22nd April 2020 and we’re expecting to hear about the Edge and Edge Plus. The company has confirmed it’ll be a flagship launch, so even if they’re not called Motorola Edge you likely won’t be disappointed. A leaker Evan Blass at @evleaks pointed out the potential name as the Motorola Edge Plus. It also indicated style curves at the edges, the world’s tiniest punch-hole on the top-left of the screen, 3 cameras on the back, and a time-of-flight sensor.
