Various reports and rumors have suggested that Samsung has planned to release the Galaxy S21. The new device will reportedly launch near Christmas or New Year Eve. @OnLeaks posted various images showing the upcoming phone from all angles. It says there’s still the punch hole camera in the center at the top of the display, as we experienced on both the Galaxy S20 and the Note 20. The front
display is around 6.2 inches corner to corner and the overall dimensions are tipped to be 151.7 mm x 71.2 mm x 7.9 mm. The camera bump seemingly adds an extra 1.1 mm. Point to be noted that the January launch is apparently happening, but the company needs to get a head start on its rivals in 2021. The leak suggests the Galaxy S21 will feature 3 rear cameras with expected upgrades in the usual sensor for better results.
The 5G Galaxy S21 looks almost similar to its predecessor using a 6.2-inch punch-hole screen. It clearly indicates the 5G Galaxy S21 and 5G Galaxy S20 are almost the exact same size. Both phones are 151.7mm tall and 7.9mm thick without taking the camera bump into account. But, the Galaxy S21 is 71.2mm wide, while the Galaxy S20 was just 69.1mm wide. Other features include a bottom-firing speaker and a USB-C connector, but there’s no legacy 3.5mm headphone jack. It will have the next-generation Snapdragon 875 in the United States and the upcoming Exynos 1000 or 2100 in Europe. Those chipsets will be coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage as a minimum. The Samsung Galaxy S21 will reportedly feature a 4,000mAh battery. The leak @OnLeaks also suggested that Samsung Galaxy S series for 2021 will include the top-end Ultra variant.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is similar to the Galaxy S21 leaked renders. The difference comes in the display, which is expected to slightly curve. The screen diagonal is between 6.7″ to 6.9″ and there is a centered selfie punch-hole camera on the front. The device will measure about 165.1 x 75.6 x 8.9 mm and it will be 10.8mm with measuring thickness at the camera bump. The Galaxy S21 Ultra will have a bigger camera island to accommodate the camera flash as well as the 4th rear camera. The camera specs are not yet announced, but expecting a setup involving regular, ultra-wide, and telephoto/periscope lenses. The OnLeaks also reported the Galaxy S21 Ultra does not have a dedicated slot for the S Pen. Various reports suggest Samsung is planning to launch the Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21 Ultra, and Galaxy S21 Plus in January 2020.
