Samsung Electronics to release Smart Things with New InterfaceToday, Samsung Electronics announced the release of the next generation of Smart-Things. The new technology would enable to connect the living and drive the future of IoT. The supposed mobile and Windows desktop applications now feature advanced updates. The new interface offers an easier, more robust user journey, and faster load times with brand-new interface. It is also a part of Smart-Things’ ongoing commitment to simplify the connected home experience. The corporate vice president at Samsung Electronics, Jaeyeon Jung said, “We’re pleased to introduce the new Smart-Things experience. We’ve listened to our customers and have invested in our technology to enhance the user experience to make it simpler. As smart homes continue to surge in popularity, Smart-Things is the ideal platform that allows everyone to enjoy a smarter life with connected devices”.

Moreover, the new Smart-Things interface makes it easier to discover connected home experiences. It would ensure a seamless transition from the previous version Smart-Things. The enhanced design breaks down the app into 5 different sections, including Favorites, Devices, Life, Automations, and Menu. The Favorites section is the new home screen within Smart-Things. It efficiently gathers the devices, scenes, and services for quicker access. The Devices section enables users to view and control all devices, TVs, light bulbs, and other appliances. The Life section is a place to explore the growing world of connected living. Users can discover new Smart-Things services to transform physical products into meaningful user experiences. It would enable users to learn about advanced functionalities to improve their overall living experiences, such as Smart-Things Cooking.

The Automations section efficiently connects devices and enables them to work together. It would enable connected devices to respond to specific conditions in the home, such as a door opening and turning on a light. The Menu section will house additional features of Smart-Things including History, Notifications, Smart-Things Labs, and Settings. It is noteworthy that the new interface is available for Android devices starting today, and iOS will follow shortly after. Smart-Things continue to double down on enhancing its technology. The Smart-Things recently announced the integration of the Matter protocol into its ecosystem.
