On Monday, Google Philippines issued a statement for online users. Users will now have more control over online advertising while watching YouTube videos or browsing using My Ad Center. The statement said Google has launched My Ad Center offering users control over the ads they experience.
Users often find ads on Search, Discover, and YouTube. Moreover, My Ad Center will provide information to users about the personalizing of the ad experience. Keep in mind that My Ad Center helps users if users follow specific instructions.
Focus on Privacy and Refine Categories are Essential
It is essential that users must “Follow brands and topics”. They can access the feature if they are signed in to Google and using Search, YouTube, and Discover.
Google said the “Focus on Privacy” feature ensures the safety of personal information especially data on Google Drive, Gmail, and Photos.
The “Independence” approach enables users to decide which processes are specific to activate Google products independently with the shown ads. For instance, it won’t automatically impact how ads are customized unless the user’s instructions if YouTube history is activated.
Users can choose “Refine Categories” and adjust how categories create the relationship status of the industry they work for completion.
My Ad Center enables users to turn on and off the “Control Ads beyond Google” feature. It efficiently keeps attraction customized and still offers much similar experience outside Google.

Google Career Certificates Program for Filipinos
Google Philippines issued a statement on Wednesday, September 28, 2022. The statement said the company is offering a chance to 39,000 Filipinos. They can study and complete an online certification course from its scholarships program “Google Career Certificates”.
The program is in collaboration with the DICT, DTI, and the telecom giant Globe. They will also spread awareness of the program. The Marketing head of Google Philippines, Gabby Roxas, issued a statement. He suggested experiencing growing demand for IT-related positions and jobs. Roxas said there is an essential need to prepare Filipinos with new professional skills for the ever-developing market.
Google Workforce can Create Jobs in IT Sector
Roxas added that the company’s workforce is more intelligent and they could originally create jobs in the developing IT sector. The DICT (Department of Information and Communications Technology) and DTI (Department of Trade and Industry) officials attended the launch event. They also admired and welcomed such projects to support enhancing the professional skills of Filipinos.
Jeffrey Ian Dy from DICT issued a statement. He said enhancing skills is considered at the forefront of the development of the ICT industry field in the Philippines. The project is about building infrastructure as well as developing a people structure. Ireneo Vizmonte from DTI said it actually represents another indicator in our efforts to provide assistance and advance the nation.
Note: All Filipinos 18 years and above are eligible to apply for the online certification course. It could run from 6 months to one year. You will find 4 courses to select from including IT Support, UX Design, Project Management, and Data Analytics. However, any work experience or academic degree isn’t required for the program.
