Lamborghini to launch advanced Huracán EVO RWD Spyder on 7th May 2020Lamborghini is the first auto-manufacturer using augmented reality for the virtual launch of its new model. The company will announce the Huracán EVO RWD Spyder on 7 May at 13:00 CET on www.lamborghini.com. Point to be noted that Lamborghini is using augmented reality to launch the car in an all-new way. The automaker earlier promised a new car to go along with the restart of production at its factory. The company is bringing its latest V10 super sports car directly to customers and fans worldwide using Apple’s AR Quick Look. So, you just need an iPhone or iPad. The new vehicle is basically the same car as the Huracán Evo RWD coupé that was released earlier this year, only with a drop-top.

The power-operated roof can fold up in just 17 seconds with a maximum top speed of 31 mph. Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, Stefano Domenicali said, “At a time of major business challenges, Lamborghini is innovating once again and exploring new methods of communication. New technologies have accelerated rapidly during this time of global emergency, and Lamborghini is pioneering exciting new possibilities. Starting tomorrow, Lamborghini can be in everyone’s home thanks to Apple’s AR technology, which is available on hundreds of millions of AR-enabled devices around the world”. Huracán Evo RWD Spyder is powered by a naturally aspirated 5.2-liter V10 that produces a ferocious 610 horsepower and 413 lb-ft of torque.

The convertible is actually two-tenths of a second quicker than the coupé, hitting 62 mph in just 3.5 seconds. When you go to the Lamborghini website on your iPhone or iPad, simply tap “See in AR” and the new open-top rear-wheel-drive model can be admired in people’s driveways, yards, or even living rooms. The virtual experience enables the viewer to rotate and expand the size of the vehicle, including on a 1:1 scale, to look closely at both its exterior and interior details, and to take pictures of the new car with a high level of photorealism. This functionality will soon be available for the entire Lamborghini range. Lamborghini, which resumed production at its Sant’Agata Bolognese factory on Monday, says the car will go on sale this summer with a starting price of $229,428.
