Some reports have confirmed that Google is looking to present something special on Monday, 13th July 2020. It is very likely to be a new Google Nest speaker specially designed to replace the original Google Home, launched in 2016. The new move comes via a silent 4-second clip posted on Twitter at the Google Nest account. So, it’s obviously something new regarding the smart home, whether that’s hardware, software, or both. It was also reported that Google released an official promo shot of a new Google Nest speaker just a few days ago. You will get more information in detail about the product. The new device is expected to go on sale on Monday, 13th July.
It is noteworthy that Google did not provide any information alongside the promo image. But, it’s undoubtedly a new Nest speaker with the distinctive fabric covering and status LED lights, most of us have experienced on the smaller Google Nest Mini. Some previously leaked images have shown the device is going through the FCC (Federal Communications Commission) regulation process in the United States gave us an earlier look at the speaker, including a mute switch clearly visible on the side.

Technical experts are expecting that the new Google Nest speaker will offer much better sound output compared to the Mini. Google also releases a short video clip during the last couple of days showing two of the new speakers set up in a stereo pair, though again the clip doesn’t really tell us anything specific about the product. It would leave the bigger, more expensive Google Home Max as the only speaker with the Google Home branding still attached if we do indeed get a new Google Nest speaker on Monday. Most of us are hopeful that Google would have some other smart home updates to share on 13th July, but you should have to wait and see.
