This device features a 14-inch touch-enabled display, the latest Windows 11 operating system, and an efficient keyboard. The IdeaPad Slim 7i Pro ultraportable is available at $1,199 with an Evo-certified Intel Core i7 11th Generation CPU. It is a glassy mainstream device with the capability for daily tasks at a premium price. The laptop has 16GB of RAM, a 3.3GHz Intel Core i7-11370H processor, and Intel Iris Xe graphics. Point to be noted that the boot drive is an immense and accelerated 1TB PCI Express NVMe SSD.
The 14-inch laptop has a Slate Grey aluminum case instead of traditional black chassis. The device uses a Dolby Atmos-tuned sound system to give an excellent listening experience. The Slim 7i Pro delivers perfect audio from its internal speakers. The touch screen is excellent at 400-nit brightness and offers a 16:10 ratio to reduce the letterbox effect on large screen movies. The laptop features the Flip to Boot option to automatically power up the laptop. The system is efficient to rapidly couple with Windows Hello face recognition logins. The Slim 7i Pro is lightweight and portable but doesn’t have extra space for ports. However, the right side of the laptop has a single USB Type-A 3.2 port, along with a headphone jack and power switch.
There are 2 USB-C Thunderbolt 4 ports for Display Port output to attach a video projector or an external display. The laptop has an amazing charging capability using one of these ports. Lenovo claimed that just 15-minute self-charging provides 2-hours of use. There isn’t any HDMI port and SD or microSD card slot. The Slim 7i Pro offers 2 options for wireless connectivity including Bluetooth 5.0 and Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax). Moreover, the Core i7 in the Slim 7i Pro runs at a higher clock speed compared to the CPUs in the competitor’s similar systems. The keyboard of this laptop is more comfortable and designed for fast typing. It is noteworthy that the IdeaPad doesn’t feature a little red joystick in the middle of the keyboard as most of the ThinkPads and ThinkBooks have. Users can also adjust the light intensity between 2 settings, or turn it off.
