A Settlement of $85 ended the case between Apple and WiLAN over the VoLTE dispute. The Canadian firm alleged that the tech holder firm violated the agreement. Now, Apple has finished the case with WiLAN about an apparent clash over VoLTE.
A district court reviewed the case and the judge ordered Apple to pay at least $85 million to the company over the apparent disputes. It is noteworthy that WiLAN first submitted the case against Apple in 2014.

Apple will pay just $145.1 million instead of $85 million
The primary cost of penalty that Apple has to pay was around $145.1 million. However, the amount was decreased from $85.2 million according to the court’s decision over WiLAN’s claim settlement.
The major objective for the Canadian firm was to win the case against this conflict. The company initially focused on the lawsuit about the legal use of its VoLTE technology.
