Apple has introduced a new desktop Mac, the latest version of the iPhone SE with an advanced mobile processor, and 5G. The new desktop Mac with an external monitor is specially designed for creative professionals. However, Apple has made major announcements in the one-hour-long presentation.
M1 Ultra Chip from Apple
The M1 Ultra is a new induction in the Apple Silicon series. It actually has two combined M1 Max chips with the supporting ability of up to 128GB of RAM.
Apple claims that the M1 Ultra chip is 8 times faster compared to the standard M1 chip. The M1 Ultra is expected to be available in the Mac Studio as well as in the Mac Pro.
The Announcement of Mac Studio
The latest move for Apple’s Mac series has added the Mac Studio. It is much similar to a Mac Mini and designed for creative professionals.
The new addition has around 4 Thunderbolt ports, an SD card slot, efficient cooling, and powerful processing capability. The M1 Ultra and M1 Max versions start at $3,999 and $1,999, respectively.
New 5K Studio Display from Apple
Apple Studio Display has a 27-inch 5K screen enclosed in an aluminum box. The display has the ability to reach around 600 nits of brightness. It can also support P3 wide color and efficiently works with the TrueTone feature of the Mac OS.
There is also a 12-megapixel ultra-wide camera at the top of the screen for video conferencing. Apple’s new 27-inch 5K Studio Display has an iPhone chip inside and is available at $1,599.
The shipments are scheduled to begin on Friday, March 18, 2022. People can get a Studio Display monitor at an affordable price including its own stand. However, Apple is offering the upgrade option for its monitor at $400.
The new iPhone SE will feature 5G and A15 CPU
Apple has added the latest A15 Bionic chip in its new iPhone SE version. The newest mobile processor is a cheaper and smaller package with pricing starting around $430. Apple was considered to moderate the new 5G radio of the iPhone SE instead of focusing on a similar experience to its iPhone 13 smartphones. The new iPhone SE is scheduled to launch on March 18 with a 4.7-inch package and Touch ID.
New iPad Air with M1 Chip
The company has also announced a new iPad Air version after at least 18 months since its last update. However, most of the currently made improvements are internal.
The new device features an 8-core M1 chipset (similar to the iPad Pro), 5G, and a front-facing camera of 12-megapixel. Moreover, iOS 15.4 is scheduled for Next Week. The latest iPhone devices will allow you to use Face ID with wearing a mask.
Apple TV Plus announced Friday Night Baseball
Apple will feature 2 Major League Baseball games during the regular season on Friday nights with its streaming service. There is also a new 24/7 MLB live stream in the US and Canada. It will include news, replays, analysis, a new MLB Big Inning live show, and on-demand highlights.
It is noteworthy that the iPhone 13 series has a new green color option. But the Pro version devices will feature an alpine green color option. The preorders are expected to start on Friday, March 18, 2022. Keep in mind that Apple has discontinued its 27-inch Intel-based iMac. So, you have to select between the 24-inch M1 iMac and the Studio setup.
