Microsoft released the Pro 7 in October and the ARM processor-equipped Surface Pro X in November 2019. Some reports have indicated an expected launch from Microsoft for its Surface Pro series. The eBay listing for the Surface Pro 8 clearly shows a tablet almost similar to the Surface Pro 7. It is still unclear whether or not the Surface Pro 8 will make an appearance before 31st December 2020 because October has come and gone without any specific details. Some previous leaks suggested the Surface Pro 8 might have some design updates. Point to be noted that the Surface Pro series has been a mainstay of their Surface product lines since 2013.
We haven’t yet found any announcement or rumor regarding the release date for the Microsoft Surface Pro 8. The entry-level price for a newly-released Surface Pro has generally started between $799 and $999 with a maxed-out machine usually peaking at $2299. However, there are no rumors circulating about price just yet, but the Surface Pro 8 might follow a similar pricing scheme. It is noteworthy that the Pro 7 was an improved version of the Pro 6 by adding 10th generation chips instead of the 8th gen Intel chips. The device got upgraded from Wi-Fi to Wi-Fi 6 and an addition of a USB-C port. The RAM and display specs not changed because a 1824p 12.3-inch display doesn’t really need a higher resolution.
The mysterious eBay listing shows a Surface Pro 8 with an Intel Core i7-1165G7 processor, 32GB of RAM, and 1TB of SSD storage inside. The addition of the USB-C was essential to stay up-to-date with today’s peripherals. We are expecting that Microsoft will take another step further and include a Thunderbolt 3 port in lieu of USB-C. There is no detail about the battery life for Pro 8, but the Pro 7 lost compared to the Pro 6. The Microsoft Surface Pro hasn’t changed much visually and it is still a tablet with a detachable type cover that doubles as a physical keyboard. Finally, there might be a removable SSD previously introduced with the Pro X.
