There was a long time when Meizu smart-phone got customer’s attention, but the company has recently announced Pro 7 flagship series with some amazing features. These new devices have a tiny 1.9-inch 240×536 AMOLED touch-screen on the back. Its display automatically lights when you flip over the phone and it shows a weather clock, a music player, a notification area and a mirror for selfies using the front camera. The Pro 7 has been considered the 1st line of Android smart-phones with updated MediaTek 10-core tri-cluster chipset, the Helio X30.
Meizu has presented Pro 7 in two versions, first one Pro 7 comes with a 5.2-inch 1080p Super AMOLED screen, and second Pro 7 Plus comes with a 5.7-inch Quad HD Super AMOLED screen. Both versions have similar set of cameras, a 16-megapixel f/2.0 front camera and a 12-megapixel f/2.0 rear camera. It is specifically based on IMX386 sensors with 1.25um pixels from Sony. The front camera offers a low light mode to combine 4 pixels into one to enhance light sensitivity. Both models have 7.3 mm thickness, but the Pro 7 Plus has a larger 3,500 mAh battery. This version also features a fast-charging tech from Meizu’s new mCharge 4.0 and it uses a powerful charger at 5V and 5A. It has the ability to charge 67% in just 30 minutes.
Meizu has been considered a former MP3 player manufacturer and now adding a dedicated audio DAC, Cirrus Logic CS43130 into both Pro 7 and Pro 7 Plus versions. They have traditional 3.5 mm headphone jacks to enable your USB-C port available for various major uses such as data transfer and charging. Both versions support efficient music formats such as APE and FLAC out of the box. Pro 7 with 128GB UFS 2.1 storage and 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM will be available at $500 (3,380 Yuan) and Pro 7 Plus with 64GB storage and 6GB of RAM at $530 (3,580 Yuan).
