Leaks suggest new Apple Watch 6 to release on 8th September 2020Some leaks have suggested the Apple Watch 6 will be released in the first half of September 2020, alongside the iPhone 12. The company will reportedly present Apple Watch 6 with the beta launch of its new watchOS 7 software. Point to be noted that the Apple Watch 5 was a great smartwatch, but its successor is set to fix some of that gadget’s issues and bring new features and improved specs. Multiple leaks have claimed the device will land on September 8 or 15. A leaker, Jon Prosser has confirmed that the Apple Watch 6 will be announced via press release on the week commencing September 7. It’s also unclear if the Covid-19 pandemic will have impacted Apple’s schedule.

It is noteworthy that the Apple Watch 5 starting price was at $399 and we are expecting a similar price for the new Apple Watch 6. The Apple Watch 5 uses an OLED screen, but a report suggests the Apple Watch 6 might use microLED. The major advantage of microLED is that it should be more power-efficient with a more efficient battery life. Another possible change to the screen is the addition of a Touch ID fingerprint scanner. The Apple Watch range currently doesn’t have any biometric security, but building a scanner into the screen. One new feature the Apple Watch 6 might get is the ability to track your temperature. This was spotted in an Apple patent for improved yoga tracking. The watchOS 7 beta version in the Apple Watch 6 will finally offer native sleep tracking too.

A leak suggests the Apple Watch 6 could get the capability to monitor blood oxygen levels and warn wearers if those drops low enough to risk a cardiac arrest. The Apple Watch 5 is already water-resistant to depths of 50 meters. But, the Apple Watch 6 might also sport improved water resistance, wireless connectivity, and much faster general performance. Apple batteries of 262.9mAh, 265.9mAh, and 303.8mAh have been spotted passing through the South Korean regulatory process. The Apple Watch 5 had a 296mAh battery with 3 different sizes likely accounting for the different configurations and sizes of Apple Watch 6. There are some possibilities including the ability to accurately track more exercises or additional sensors for monitoring your health.
