Rumors have indicated that OnePlus has a smartwatch in the works and leaks have called it simply the ‘OnePlus Watch’. They haven’t yet mentioned the full specs and details about the wearable. But it seems like it has been in development for a while. There is evidence about its launch during the current year supposedly alongside the OnePlus 8T. The company hasn’t yet officially announced the launch of OnePlus Watch, but it has been spotted both on the Infocomm Media Development Authority (IMDA) website and on the BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards). Leaks have indicated that the OnePlus Watch will be announced very soon.
Most tech experts believe that it might land in September, October, or November alongside the OnePlus 8T. The company normally launches its new T model smartphones during the above mentioned time period. We can’t suggest the price of the OnePlus Watch because rumors didn’t mention the price, but there’s also no previous model to go on. There is the recent Oppo Watch, which starts at around $300. Point to be noted that the OnePlus and Oppo have the same parent company and their most smartphones have similarities. But, rumors suggest the OnePlus Watch will look quite different to the Oppo Watch, so we wouldn’t count on the prices being similar.
The major OnePlus Watch leak shows the shape of the screen, a leaker with a good track record @maxjmb, has claimed on Twitter that OnePlus to present a circular screen. It confirms the new device won’t have too much in common with the Oppo Watch having a square display, in spite of the two companies often launching similar devices. A former OnoPlus employee also said that the company has been looking into a smartwatch of the last year. The company has resurrected the project, as years ago it revealed sketches for an abandoned smartwatch. OnePlus will supposedly use the recent Snapdragon Wear 4100 or 4100 Plus chipset. There is still more to be disclosed before its launch, so keep in touch with us to get the latest information about the OnePlus Watch.
