Most of us know that LG announced the V50 ThinQ at MWC 2019 with 5G and a case for 2nd screen. It seems anyone can expect more of the same at MWC 2020. Yonhap reported citing industry sources that the company will launch the LG V60 ThinQ in Barcelona. It is expected the company will offer 5G capabilities and a second screen case once again. A source from the industry informed Yonhap, “LG Electronics is planning to showcase V60 ThinQ as next year’s first smartphone to expand its presence in the 5G market. The company is expected to enhance its shipments in South Korea, Japan, and the United States”.
The 2nd screen case launched at MWC 2019 had free stop hinge technology, so you could hold the second screen at any angle. It is supposed the 2nd screen case on the LG V60 ThinQ will feature an upgraded folding structure. Newly leaked images of the LG V60 ThinQ’s rear panel were shared on SlashLeaks. These images show a cut-out on the back that appears large enough for at least four camera lenses. The name V60 ThinQ is printed on the back and the images show the phone in both black and white shades. It is noteworthy that both the LG V50 ThinQ and the LG G8 had a scanner on the back, and the LG G8X had an in-screen scanner.

The leak doesn’t show a fingerprint scanner on the back of LG V60 ThinQ but supposed to be moved in-screen. There will be at least three color options, black, blue, and white. These images also look a lot like recently leaked renders of the LG G9 ThinQ. It also shows a quad-lens rear camera laid out in a similar way. Both, LG V60 ThinQ and LG G9 ThinQ will supposedly use the new Snapdragon 865 chipset. Rumors suggest the two phones could be much similar and they might also launch at the same time at MWC 2020 in February 2020.
