The Russian version of the Samsung phone official website added a support page, which points to an expected launch of Galaxy A31. The website doesn’t provide more but they answer regional questions like adding bank cards to Samsung Pay within the Russian Federation. This was the latest move in a series of steps that lead to launch, such as formerly securing Bluetooth certification. It is noteworthy that the support page didn’t mention anything regarding the phone itself. Previous leaks pointed out that it will come with Android 10, 4GB of RAM, and a MediaTek chipset (MT6768V/CA).
The previous leaks have pointed out the phone will pack 64GB of base storage, in order to align with mid range predictions. There was one confirmed leak and it suggests the A31 will get a bigger 5,000mAh battery. So, it has been considered a perfect option among few budget phones such as the Moto G Power. But, it is a bigger capacity and traditionally reserved for top-tier flagship smartphones and devices. A rumor also suggested a 48MP main shooter paired with a 5MP macro lens.
Point to be noted that there isn’t a 64MP main lens on the brand-new Samsung Galaxy S20. But, it is still a major improvement from the 16MP lens on the Samsung Galaxy A30. It is supposedly inherited from last year’s slate of flagships. Moreover, the flagship specs are trickling down to the Galaxy A31. One need only look to the slightly more refined Samsung Galaxy A51. That phone packs a 48MP main lens along with a 5MP macro lens. It also has an ultrawide shooter and depth sensor to round out its camera package. It would be hard to predict whether the A31 will get as many lens options. The new lenses it’s slated to get is still a major advancement from last year’s model.
