Amazon has cut the cost of the SanDisk 1TB Extreme Micro-SDXC UHS-I Memory Card from 450 to 250 U.S dollars in a standout storage deal. People looking for a cut-price storage deal will get a saving of about 44%. This is currently the only way to get a 1TB memory card into a smartphone at a cheaper price. It is more favorable compared to the Lexar Professional 633X 1TB version at 246 U.S dollars. Moreover, SDXC cards can’t be used in your smartphone, many are compatible with most cameras and laptops that can take expandable SD storage. It has been considered a mind-blowing deal on a true, genuine 1TB MicroSD card. Sandisk selected to cut its price in spite of having no competition at all, but you just make sure that your camera or laptop supports it.
This card is officially called the SDSQXA1-1T00-GN6MA and it comes with a lifetime warranty in the United States only and 30 years of cover everywhere else. Sandisk also indicated that it can withstand extreme temperatures and has a built-in write-protect to safeguard your content. But, the company didn’t provide detail as to whether it is waterproof, shockproof or X-ray proof. The Sandisk 1TB MicroSD card is compatible with the new V30 speed class and should record videos at 4K without a hitch. The card has a read speed of up to 160MBps and a write speed of 90MBps.
The Sandisk 1TB card still carries a premium over smaller capacities. For instance, the 128GB version retails just under 24 U.S dollars, and it is 79% of it’s per GB price, which translates into a low premium of 20%. Amazon will also ship it to a number of other territories for an additional fee because it is smaller. There are a number of companies that are currently selling 512GB MicroSD cards, including the likes of Samsung, Kingston, PNY, and Integral. But, they haven’t yet confirmed when they will offer a 1TB version MicroSD card. Currently, SanDisk and Micron are the only manufacturers offering a 1TB microSD card.
