Huawei has announced that Huawei Nova 4 with a pinhole phone camera will be presented just before the end of 2018. It clearly indicates 2019 will be the year of a circular cut-out for a camera in the screen and beginning of pinhole phone cameras. Fortunately, you will be able to get such handset as it will arrive during the current month. Huawei has officially announced that the Huawei Nova 4 with such a camera will be available on December 17, 2018. The company teases the device a couple of times already, but the latest teaser image, posted to a Chinese social network (Weibo) gives more away.
The post contains both the date December 17 and confirms a camera cut-out in the screen. Some previous teasers had shown a beam of light or a black hole in the night sky. We have also experienced a leaked image supposedly showing the Huawei Nova 4 itself. There was little doubt that it might have a pinhole camera, but currently confirmed the phone’s launch date.
Most of us don’t know more details about the Huawei Nova 4, but it might have a 6GB of RAM and the high-end Kirin 980 chipset. You will find a similar chipset in the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. So, it could be a more attractive handset. It is important that it’s still unclear whether you’ll be able to buy the Huawei Nova 4 outside China. Both the Lenovo Z5S and Samsung Galaxy A8S are rumored to sport pinhole cameras of their own and are likely launch very soon. There’s a probability that the Samsung Galaxy S10 (a flagship phone likely to get a global launch in early 2019) will also have a pinhole camera.
