Most of us have already experienced an EKG band for the Apple Watch. Now, Bloomberg reported that Apple is reportedly working on presenting the feature directly to its smart-watch. The Apple Watch will be able to track electrical signals from your heart with EKG monitoring and it allows detecting things such as irregular heartbeats. Most tech experts said it as a major upgrade for heart tracking over the current device, which is more focused on fitness. Apple announced a joint project with Stanford in November in order to track irregular heartbeats with current Apple Watch models. But, it is still limited by its sensors.
Bloomberg also indicated that it has been considered that there is one way Apple could implement an EKG is by having users hold the sides of the Watch. It would then send a weak electrical current to their heart. It would work differently once it’s finalized with any potential new feature. There’s also a prediction that Apple gives up on implementing the feature entirely. But, given just how useful it could be much better tracking and it would offer help to people in preventing strokes and heart failure ahead of time.
