Asus C423 mid range ChromebookAsus has announced its own super-thin Chromebook C423, after launching thinnest convertible Chromebook from HP. The new Chromebook of Asus has a height of 16.1mm and its thickness is just 0.1mm. The Chromebook of HP can be a good option if you have a tight budget. Asus hasn’t yet provided its pricing, but C423 will be cheaper than thinnest Chromebook of HP. It has a 14-inch screen with a narrow bezel and you can choose between a full HD touch-screen display and a non-touch-screen one that has a 1,366×768-pixel resolution.

The previous one was powered by a Pentium quad-core processor, but the latest cheaper model runs on a Celeron dual-core chip. It also has up to 64GB of storage, 8GB of RAM, 2 USB-C, and 2 standard USB ports along with a microSD card slot. Asus said that its battery will last for 10 hours on a single charge. The C423 doesn’t have a 360-degree range of movements like HP’s x360 14 or Lenovo’s Yoga Chromebooks. But, it has a 180-degree hinge and can lay flat on a surface. It has the ability to access Google Play, so you can install Android apps on the device. Asus has yet to announce the date of arrival of C423 and about its cost. HP announced the price of its thinnest Chromebook at $599 and C423 is expected to be presented less than HP’s price.
