If you are looking the most affordable handset in the market, Xiaomi smartphones can be your preferred option, specially the Redmi devices. It is a dedicated and cheaper brand of the company, and there are now 2 new smartphones. These handsets are the Redmi Note 9 Pro and Note 9 Pro Max. Both smartphones were just launched at an online event. It was a launch specific to the country, but we’d expect the phones to be available in many more regions very soon. New smartphones have impressive 6.67-inch FHD+ displays for the rough price tags. They are LCD and their screens are broken up by punch-hole cut-out segments for the front-facing camera.
The specifications of the phones are much similar due to both devices have a Snapdragon 720G chipset, a 3.5mm headphone jack, 3 of the same rear cameras, and a bigger 5,020mAh battery. The Redmi Note 9 Pro and Note 9 Pro Max both have 4 rear cameras. Both have 8MP ultra-wide, 5MP macro and 2MP depth-sensing snappers in the main camera. But the Note 9 Pro has a 48MP snapper and the Note 9 Pro Max boasts a 64MP sensor. These new handsets are lightweight with advanced features.
It we talk about their price tags, both phones are considered the most affordable smartphones among the others with similar specs available in the market. There’s no global pricing yet announced officially. Most are expecting the Redmi Note 9 Pro will be available for around $200 or coming in at just above or just below that, depending on whether you opt for a 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage or 6GB/128GB combo. The Note 9 Pro Max will start at previous price for 6GB/64GB, and going up to around $250 with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The actual price will be available after its launch during the summer 2020. But, it depends on the current coronavirus COVID-19 outbreak.
