Some reports have indicated that Apple’s new iPhones for 2021 will likely launch after the 2nd half of the current year. There is a variety of news from a variety of sources about what to expect on the next-gen iPhone 13 lineup. Point to be noted that Apple has consistently introduced its flagship phones for the last 10 years at an event near the start of September and released the phones 10 days later. But, it was changed because of the Covid-19 pandemic, and the phones were delayed beyond their usual window in 2020. We’re expecting 4 members of the iPhone 13 family including the standard iPhone 13, iPhone 13 mini, iPhone 13 Pro, and iPhone 13 Pro Max. We’re expecting similar designs to the iPhone 12 family.
It is noteworthy that the screen technology is likely to be similar because the company made major upgrades to that area of the iPhone 12. A leak suggests the ultra-wide camera of iPhone 13’s may be bumped to f/1.8, 6-element lens from the current f/2.4, and 5-element lens on the Pro and Pro Max. The iPhone 13 Pro could get a similar telephoto snapper as the iPhone 12 Pro Max. It allows for 2.5x optical zoom, up from 2x on its predecessor. Apple iPhone 13 range will also feature smaller notches and bigger batteries. The leak reportedly expects the iPhone 13 lineup to include the same four models like the iPhone 12 lineup including the standard iPhone 12, iPhone 12 Mini, iPhone 12 Pro, and iPhone 12 Pro Max.
The two iPhone 13 Pro models will reportedly use LTPO technology in their displays for a 120Hz refresh rate, which we’ve heard in previous rumors as well. All 4 phones in the iPhone 13 family will also feature larger batteries than their iPhone 12 counterparts, including Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X60 5G modem. The 5nm radio is smaller and more power-efficient than the X55 modem found in the iPhone 12 lineup. A rumor suggests Apple could release a foldable iPhone with a 7.5-inch to 8-inch display in 2023. The company reportedly has been working on a prototype foldable display with an invisible hinge. The rumor also said Apple will release four different iPhone models in 2021 that will come in the same sizes as the 2020 lineup. The iPhone 13 Pro models will feature energy-efficient 120Hz LTPO (low-temperature polycrystalline oxide) displays.
