Self Driving Motorcycle of BMW MotorradNew self-driving motorcycle version R1200GS has announced by BMW Motorrad. This project took at least 2 years on its development. The company also released a video showing a self-governing motorcycle with abilities to start, accelerate, stop, and bend into turns independently. But, you might not see this motor-bike on the roads during the next couple of years. The company has indicated that they have designed a self-driving motorcycle, but it will only be used for testing purpose and much regarding the implementation of new safety features.

The Motorrad safety engineer, Stefan Hans indicated in a video that this prototype will support in expanding their knowledge regarding the dynamics of the vehicle. So, it would classify the behavior of a rider and determine the upcoming normal or dangerous situation on the road. He added that this bike will be used for the development of new safety systems designed to support inattentive drivers. Most of us know that cars have the capabilities of an entire driving assistance features, but motorcycle still doesn’t have most of the essential self-driving features. So, it would be more interesting to find the new safety measures being developed by the BMW Motorrad for its self-driving motorcycle.
