TechCrunch reported that if you are traveling, Google Maps will make taking the train or bus in places a lot more painless. The app will guide you using every step of a mass transit ride. It would include telling you when it’s time to get off. After rolling out the feature, when you look up how to go to a certain destination, you’ll apparently discover a Start button at the bottom of the screen. You will get live updates on where you are as you walk or as your ride moves If you tap that button, not only within the app but also on your Android lock screen. You might not need a feature like that for your daily commute.
But, if you’re traveling to a new city, state or country with a transit system and you might be overwhelmed for the first time during your visit, then it would be a miracle. You just need your lock screen to see where you are or wait for your phone to alert you that you’ve arrived. But, your GPS and mobile internet should be working inside the vehicle. You can also scroll up and make sure you’re going your desired and the right way. TechCrunch reported that the feature will go live very soon, but make sure to check your app right now. It might have already rolled out to random users for testing, though the concept isn’t entirely new. There is a “Go” feature within the self-titled app of Transit and it takes you through every step of a bus or subway ride. The implementation of Google would have a clear benefit, on Android, so you don’t need to download a separate app.
